Nanosecond pulsed electric field for stimulation of cells

Nanosecond Pulsed Electric Field (nsPEF) is an electrostimulation technique based on the delivery of high intensity very short electric field pulses.
When applied to living cells or tissues, the high intensity very short field pulses do not cause the death of the cells by apoptosis but create a stress which stimulates the differentiation and / or proliferation processes.
Such effects are of a great interest to accelerate the seed germination, to increase the cell proliferation rate, to improve the plant growth, or in new medical applications for wound healing or cancer treatment.
Montena designs new pulse generators based on solid state switching, especially designed for nanosecond pulsed electric field (nsPEF) applications.
Thanks to a modular architecture the pulsers of montena can deliver a large range of pulse intensity and duration.
