FibREmote is a proprietary application designed for configuration and monitoring of Montena’s fibre-optic transmission links. Get a comprehensive overview of the available optical links thanks to a graphical user-friendly interface. Simply monitor the connection state and allows your operators to comfortably configure relevant parameters, such as the attenuation or the input coupling impedance.

FibREmote is available as:
 > An Android mobile app (available on GooglePlayStore), to manage one point-to-point MOL25T, MOL500T or MOL2000T fibre-optic link by connecting the smartphone to the USB port of the MOL receiver module. > A Windows application for PC is available here, to manage a large number of MOL fibre-optic links, in their point-to-point or in point-to-rack versions.

Note that is it always possible to control the MOL fiber-optic links using the ASCII command based serial protocol available through the USB interface of the receiver modules.

FibREmote is a specialised software application designed to configure and control optical links used in advanced electromagnetic and high-voltage measurement systems. It enables engineers to remotely manage fiber-optic links that transmit measurement signals between sensors and acquisition devices.

The application provides a centralised environment to configure optical transmitters and receivers and monitor link status, ensuring stable data transmission in environments where electrical connections are not suitable due to electromagnetic interference (EMI), high voltages, or safety constraints.

FibREmote operates as a configuration and monitoring interface for optical link modules integrated in measurement equipment, such as MOL2000T2, MOL500T, and MOL25T. Through the user interface, operators can access the parameters of fiber-optic devices connected within the measurement system.

The software communicates with compatible hardware modules to configure optical link settings (such as gain or input impedance), monitor link status, and verify device connectivity.

FibREmote is integrated as part of the software layer of a fiber-optic measurement infrastructure. It interacts with optical transmitter and receiver modules installed between sensors, measurement instruments, and data acquisition systems.

A typical measurement chain includes sensors or probes capturing the physical signal, optical transmitter modules converting electrical signals into optical signals, fiber-optic links transmitting the signal safely over distance, and optical receivers connected to acquisition systems. FibREmote allows engineers to configure the optical components within this chain.

When PULSELab is used to manage the measurement chain, it can provide a gateway to FibREmote to transmit optical link settings. Link status and device connectivity are also transmitted to PULSELab through FibREmote.
